Title:  (SR250) Asset Management Book Club
Date/Time:  2/27/2013 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM Eastern Time
Description:  In 2011, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) published the Transportation Asset Management Guide - A Focus on Implementation to encourage the use of asset management principles in transportation agencies. The document provides guidance on the organizational, business, and technical issues that must be addressed to effectively align agency resource allocations with corporate strategic goals. If you've been meaning to read the AASHTO Implementation Guide but haven't found the time, or just want to learn more about it, then this book club series, sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is for you. On the last Wednesday of each month, beginning January 23, 2013, FHWA and AASHTO are sponsoring a series of nine 1.5-hour webinars to review the content of the AASHTO Implementation guide and to share experiences from practitioners in transportation agencies. If you're planning to implement asset management in your agency, or if you want to enhance your agency's existing practices, join us for this educational journey through the AASHTO Guide! Prior to this webinar it is recommended that you read Chapter 2 and Appendix A of the Transportation Asset Management Guide.
