This is basic training for all employees on Understanding the Reasonable Accommodations Process The Federal Highway Administration Office of Civil Rights will host an all-employee webinar on Understanding the Reasonable Accommodation Process on May 8. Guest presenter Timothy C. Bladek, Esq., Attorney/Advisor at the Office of Federal Operations, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, will provide a snapshot of the accommodation process including strategies to remove barriers that may be preventing people with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their positions. This webinar will also discuss the various kinds of accommodations that may be provided to individuals with disabilities so they can enjoy equal benefits and privileges of employment. This training session will also include: Key elements of the Rehabilitation Laws and the Reasonable Accommodations Process. Discussion of episodic medical conditions. Ideas for accommodating disabilities and conditions. Impacts that the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 as amended (ADAAA) has on the accommodation processes. Tips for reviewing, updating and adjusting accommodation arrangements. Participants may ask Questions and Answers following the presentation.
