To access NHI training, you will need two things:

  1. A Login.gov account (NOTE: The email address you use for your Login.gov account is the one you will use to create a Blackboard® Account).
  2. A Blackboard account.

First Step: Create Login.gov Account (Go to Second Step, if already have an account)

  1. Begin at the NHI Learning Management System Site.
  2. Select "Access with Login.gov" button.

  4. Select "Create an Account".
  5. Enter your email address and select "I read and accept the Login.gov rules of behavior" and select "Submit".
  6. You will be sent an email confirmation. Select the confirmation link in your email and you will be able to create a password. You will then select an authentication method such as a text message to your mobile device. Once your account is confirmed and authenticated, you will have established a Login.gov account.

  2. Select "Create Account" button.
  3. Begin by answering the question, "Are you a Federal Employee?" Select the appropriate answer from the drop-down menu.
  4. Complete the information requested. Note the box below "Work Address Line 2" is the State box and you must select from the drop-down list. For the last box, "Username", you must use the same email address used for your Login.gov account. Select "Register".
  5. You will receive an email confirmation from Genius. Please confirm your account.
