This course focuses on the application of Crash Modification Factors to select countermeasures. The course covers the project development cycle (starting from network screening and site selection for safety review), diagnostics of safety concerns, cost-benefit evaluation, and countermeasure selection.
This course is blended with a self-paced lesson and a live web session that aids in application to your current projects. You will need access to both a telephone and internet connection to participate in the live web session. The course material is presented as follows: Module 1- Web-based Training (WBT): self-paced, (complete PRIOR to web conference training WCT) Module 2 - Live web conference on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 1-3 PM eastern.
*It is mandatory that you attend Live (virtual) instructor-led session and complete self-paced lesson to earn credits for this course. Live session will not be recorded.
This course is intended for individuals that have the responsibility for identifying, recommending, selecting, installing, and maintaining appropriate countermeasures to help reduce the number of crashes.
