COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Many FHWA Divisions and Offices make presentations at public events and informal information sessions. This course consolidates training and delivering informative presentations. The course and focus is on how to develop and deliver presentations that inform and engage adults.

OUTCOMES:

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Analyze the needs of your audience
  • Identify the two to three major goals of your presentation
  • Describe the 5-step approach to presentation design
  • Discuss the various types of interactivities commonly used in public presentations
  • Design and deliver a 15-minute presentation that captures the attention of your audience

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Any individual responsible for making presentations at public events and informal information sessions.
