DESCRIPTION:
This seminar provides guidance on developing a Plan of Action (POA) for scour critical bridges. The seminar highlights the history of the POA requirement and recommends management and inspection strategies for POA development. The seminar introduces the
FHWA POA Standard Template and illustrates the use of the POA via a case study of a scour critical bridge in a riverine setting.
OUTCOMES:
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the purpose of a Plan of Action (POA) for a scour critical bridge
- Identify strategies for developing and implementing a POA
- Describe the sections of the POA Standard Template
