How does remote testing work?
- Agency enters into a contract with examination provider
- Contract takes several months to negotiate
- Usually a fee to set up the account
- Fee per student
- Students register:
- Directly with provider
- Fee is a part of registration
- Through agency
- Better for government agencies that control "who" is allowed to take an exam
- Fee is assessed to the agency. Agency must collect fee from student
- Time and location is specified
- Student arrives and shows photo ID
- Exam is downloaded from a secure server
- Student takes exam on line
- Exam is graded within a few seconds (optional)
