Description:  This webinar will assist operators and planners in applying an objectives-driven, performance-based approach to planning for operations in metropolitan areas. It will focus on the critical role of monitoring and evaluation as part of this process. It will discuss how monitoring performance is used to gauge progress toward meeting operations objectives, and how evaluation of operations strategies can help to inform future decision-making. It will identify methods for monitoring performance and evaluating M&O strategies. MPOs will present on their activities in monitoring and evaluating system performance. Speakers: Tom Murtha and Todd Schmidt, Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning; Nathan Goldberg, Des Moines MPO; and Alex Estrella, San Diego Association of Governments.
