With the new transportation legislation, MAP-21, Safety continues to be a priority and requires the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) to be a data-driven, strategic approach to improving highway safety on all public roads.
This Local Safety Training Webinar is an opportunity for local agencies throughout the state to better understand the California's Local - HSIP Program, to include the Benefit-Cost Application Tool, the Local Roadway Safety Manual, countermeasures and Crash Reduction Factors (CFRs) and lessons learned from previous calls-for-projects.
